A public hospital in eastern Norway is currently looking for a specialist in gastroenterology to join its department of gastroenterology.
The position includes clinical work in a 20-bed inpatient unit, outpatient consultations, and participation in ward rounds and internal referrals. You will be part of a highly competent and supportive team in a department that values collaboration, knowledge sharing and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Clinical work with patients suffering from gastrointestinal disorders
Work in inpatient ward, outpatient clinic and ward consultation service
Participate in daytime duties and a home-based on-call rota (active duty until 21:00, passive from 21:00 to 07:45)
Weekend ward rounds and on-call duties approximately every 10th weekend
Contribute to quality improvement and professional development in the department
Qualifications:
Medical specialist in gastroenterology
Authorization to practice within the EU/EEA
Proficiency in English and motivation to learn Norwegian, supported by our free Norwegian language school
Strong motivation and a genuine interest in patient care
Personal qualities:
Team player with excellent communication skills
Responsible, independent and structured in your work
