Family medicine specialist – Practice in a beautiful and balanced region of central Sweden

We are now looking for a qualified physician with an EU-recognized specialist certification in family medicine to join a well-established health center in central Sweden. About the health center

The health center serves approximately 11,000 listed patients and provides both planned and acute care for adults and children. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes:

General practitioners and residents
Psychiatrist/rehabilitation physician
Nurses and district nurses
Physiotherapists and occupational therapists
Psychosocial professionals
Medical secretaries and assistant nurses
Child healthcare nurses (BVC)
The center also offers services such as diabetes care, asthma/COPD management, incontinence treatment, minor surgical procedures, and digital consultations. Teamwork and continuity of care are central to daily operations.

Your role

As a family medicine specialist, you will:

Provide comprehensive medical care to patients across all age groups
Manage both scheduled appointments and acute cases
Participate in the on-call schedule (primary care emergency duties)
Contribute to minor procedures when applicable
Work closely with other professionals in the care team
Support and guide resident doctors
Play an active role in maintaining and improving patient safety and care quality
Qualifications

Holds an EU specialist certification in family medicine
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a specialist
Good communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsible, flexible, and patient-centered approach
