Quality Engineer (Tester)

We are looking for a Quality Engineer (Tester) to work in Coimbra, Braga, Porto or Lisbon (Hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring software quality through the design, development, and execution of automated test and manual tests;
• Validating functional and non-functional requirements;
• Improving test efficiency;
• Enabling continuous quality across the delivery lifecycle;
• Collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to design robust test frameworks, identify defects early, and ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications;
• Performance testing activities (mandatory) and contributes to AI-driven testing approaches to optimize test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant area;
• At least 5 years of relevant experience;
• ISTQB Certification or similar;
• Ability to design performance tests based on NFRs (e.g., load, stress);
• Execution and analysis of performance test results, including bottleneck identification;
• Experience using AI-driven testing techniques (e.g., test case generation, optimization, defect prediction);
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to improve test efficiency and coverage;
• Test case creation & execution (manual testing);
• Test automation design, development, and execution;
• Experience with automation frameworks (UI - Selenium, API - Newman);
• Functional, regression, and exploratory testing;
• Defect management and reporting;
• Requirements analysis and traceability;
• Test documentation and reporting;
• Penetration testing concepts (Nice to have).
