Agro Economist

Tropical Farm Management GmbH is a fully-owned subsidiary of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, the worlds leading green coffee service group. The group operates own farms and is active in the leasing and managing of coffee farms in Africa, Central America and Brazil. For the operation of the company owned coffee farm in Brazil we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Agro Economist on a long term basis.

Key functions of this position are

• Participation in all business activities
• Supervision of the on-site processing and milling activities
• Maintaining and development of operational and administrative procedures

Financial management including budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of payment transactions Management reporting and controlling Annual business plan preparation

We expect

Degree in agronomy or agro-economics Several years working experience in an agriculture environment while living in rural area Sound and proven track record of past performance Hands-on personality but with a clear sense for organizational structure and administrative order Good analytic skills with a high level of numeracy Fluent English language skills as well as Portuguese (Spanish)
