We are looking for a Python Developer to work in this project in Lisbon.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in the insurance industry or insurance related data science projects;
- Experience with version control system and collaborative development workflows;
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
- Agile experience;
- Ability to rewrite and optimize code for performance in cloud environments;
- Proven analytical and organizational skills;
- Ability to understand business needs and translate them into IT requirements;
- Fluent in English.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end process of migrating data science codebases from one cloud platform to another;
- Assist and mentor data scientist worldwide in rewriting and optimizing their Python code for new cloud environment;
- Provide technical expertise on insurance specific libraries Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, NLTK, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Plotly, Polars, PySpark, Dask, Statsmodels, LightGBM, XGBoost, CatBoost, and Optuna;
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to understand the specific requirements and challenges of the migration project;
- Develop and implement best practices for data science workflows and model deployment;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to libraries dependencies in the project.
