In this project you’ll contact with the European stock market area and will be able to work for a leading global trading platform that knows the importance of surveillance issues. Despite its development center being located in Porto and all administrative support in Lisbon, you will be part of a multicultural team that is spread across several European cities.
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to work in a project in Porto (hybrid).
Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- Proven experience as Principal Engineer in large and complex organizations;
- Expertise in Git, Clean Code, SOLID, Unit Testing, Domain Driven Design, Clean Architecture, REST, OpenAPI, Event Driven Architecture;
- Preferred experience with Kafka, Java, Quarkus, OpenTelemetry;
- Technical expertise designing and implementing Monitoring and logging tools;
- Recognised expert in design and implementation of software components, modules, or features;
- Experienced decision-maker in topics like software architecture, coding standards, and technology adoption;
- Able to communicate complex security and privacy concepts to business users;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide teams.

Responsibilities:
- Define and provide technical guidance, best practices for the software development teams;
- Partnership with Architects to design and build applications, software components, integrations/interfaces, across all software business domains;
- Partnership with QA leadership to define tools for testing and automation, fostering CI/CD strategies;
- Work with Quality Assurance do develop test cases, procedures and plans;
- Support and guide development teams through the Software Development Lifecycle;
- Mentor and coach software engineers, helping them grown from technical standpoint and also leveraging their soft skills;
- Assess technology trends, fostering the adoption of best-of-breed technologies that will be used to create the applications to support business vision and strategy;
- Review current application landscape and provide technology guidance for their evolution;
- Participate in the projects, helping them achieve the goals (on time, on scope, on budget), whilst assuring that the technology used is the one that best fits the project and overall long term business strategy.
