Hunter Plastics has an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager. Under general direction from the Regional Operations Manager, will ensure that company
policies and procedures are followed, promote a culture of safety, support quality assurance and continuous improvement programs and ensure that standards are met.
Foster an atmosphere of teamwork, accountability and employee development.
Primary responsibility for managing department operations including: production scheduling, safety, supporting continuous improvement, quality efforts and ensuring
commitments are met, plant performance, employee conduct and performance, housekeeping.
This position will also support capital activities from development through implementation, plan departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for
manufacturing products, and be responsible for the assimilation of daily, weekly, monthly reports and presentations.
Additional job functions include developing or revising standard operational and working practices and observing workers to ensure compliance with standards, observing
and coaching personnel on work related issues and ensuring support staff enforces company policies and procedures, plant wide safety rules, and employee rules of
conduct.
Ideally, we are looking for a person with Minimum five (5) years in lean manufacturing production management with heavy experience in employee management and a track
record of efficiency and continuous improvement. Candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and be proficient in MS Office.
Our successful candidate will have the ability to work with subordinates, peers and superiors in all departments and with customers outside the company. They mmust be
capable of functioning in a heavy manufacturing environment that is exposed to the elements and be able to motivate employees to achieve results. Must be an effective
communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the work environment and supporting the company philosophy. Able to be available on off-shifts
and weekends.
