Become an Independent GP in the UK
Straightforward route for EU GPs with or without previous experience!
1. LEARNING BURSARY £3,000 NET / MONTH
From the first day you will be given a paid bursary, supporting your learning and introduction into the NHS general practice.
2. PAID INDUCTION - £3,500 NET / MONTH
Next, you will get paid to work under the supervision of a GP until you will gain your independence and start taking your own decisions.
3. INDEPENDENT WORK - £68,000 - £72,000 GROSS / YEAR
In few months from your arrival, you will start working as an Independent GP for a General Practice in England, with direct contractual relation with the NHS!
INCOME – PAID BURSARY & PAID INDUCTION
Observational Post (Paid Bursary)
● You will be trained by a local GP and prepare for your exams
● Monthly Net Income: £3,000
● Duration: expected to be up to 3 months
Supervised GP Work (Paid Supervised Work)
● You will start working under a supervised placement
● Monthly Net Income: £3,500
● Duration: expected to be around 6 months
● Other benefits: special indemnity one-off payment of £1250
Independent GP Work
● You will start your independent work and you will be employer by a GP Practice
● Annually Gross Income: £68,000 - £72,000 / YEAR
● Other benefits: after you are registered as a GP you can start working for out of hours companies ( extra shifts)
RELOCATION COSTS ARE COVERED BY THE SCHEME!
Up to £9,500 relocation costs are covered by NHS. All demonstrable costs may refer to
● Transport of family and possessions from home to the UK
● Accommodation (28 days)
● England transport costs (28 days)
● Flights for candidates to attend UK based interview event
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
● Education: Specialist Diploma in Family Medicine / General Practitioner
● Experience: Newly Qualified Specialists will be also accepted in the Program
● English Level: equivalent of 7.0 IELTS or B Level OET (Certificates are a strong advantage)
