The Job:
The lead engineer designs hydraulic systems for specific projects within the offshore and shipbuilding industries.
In this challenging position you are the point of contact of hydraulic systems and components of specialized structures and equipment for the offshore industry. This position is based in the Netherlands.
Your daily tasks include:
• Development of projects focused on hydraulic systems.
• Managing a small team of specialists.
• Communication with clients and suppliers.
• Prepare specifications for the purchasing department.
• Checking designs and calculations.
• Alignment of progress with other disciplines.
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role we require the following requirements:
• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering or similar.
• Extensive experience with Hydraulics.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a coordinating role within the (heavy) engineering, construction, crane construction, offshore and shipbuilding.
• Experience in the preparation of schedules, working methods and strategies for the engineering and construction of hydraulic systems and hydraulic components.
• Experience with CAD systems, MS Project and Office.
• Natural prevalence and communication skills.
• Excellent English both written and spoken.
• Willing to learn Dutch.
• Willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
