Due to expansion we currently have a need for CCNA/Graduate level qualified Network Engineers to join our client's team.
Overview:
Support engineer required to join a network team to support challenging customer network. The role requires the candidate to have good helpdesk skills including the ability to manage and progress network incidents, speak with end-users and 3rd parties on the telephone, troubleshoot network based issues and contribute to the success of the network team. Role will be to maintain and support a stable and secure IT Network and Security Infrastructure. Provide incident support and project support. Ensure adherence to Corporate Networking / Security policies. Providing resolution of technical issues and queries at 2nd line level; mainly remotely with some onsite support from time to time.
Key Skills:
-Deploy, Monitor, & Manage the Network / Security Infrastructure
-Create / maintain documentation of IT Network / Security Infrastructure
-Hands on experience with Cisco routers & switches (CCNA desirable)
-Customer facing skills and good telephone manner
-Ability to take ownership of incidents and progress to resolution
-Ability to create and update documentation
-Understanding of TCP/IP, Layer-2 & Layer-3 and Cisco CLI
-Desire to progress to CCNP
-Ability to cover out of hours and on call based on agreed team rota (24x7x365 service to customers)
-Experience with Cisco hardware on Routing & Switching is essential.
-Knowledge of LAN/WAN Protocols
